Live Colorfully Part 2

The Pod. Uptown Normal. Normal, IL.

This is the other window display for The Pod. I really loved how they put the little cottage on the right, because I feel like all the accessories and garments would be in that little cottage. I again really like the colorful daisies hanging from the streamers which really brighten up the window altogether. The outfit behind the rest of the displays would be the person living in that little cottage gardening the color daises in her yard. It all comes together which really makes it visually pleasing to everyone, but especially mothers.

Get Fit with OhmFit

OhmFit Activewear. Uptown Normal. Normal, IL.

When I saw this brand new store in Uptown I simply had to go see what it is all about. This store is super cute. They're clothes are for college women to working women to mothers too! Window displays like this really help motivate you to want to look better. Having cute garments like these will want you to work out so you can show off your abilities and your body of course! The little cute flowers displays really bring out the store and the garments as well. The water bottles and the little quote right in the middle also help with the window display. It is very girly, but I can definitely see college women coming to look and buy these clothes. I was very tempted to buy some myself, but I kept telling myself I'll come back. I will most definitely be coming back.

Live Colorfully

The Pod. Uptown Normal. Normal, IL.

Right when I walked up to The Pod, the first thing I see is that beautiful and colorful wine class right in the middle with all the other products around it. This is what a person's house and clothing who shops at The Pod would look like. There is never a day where their windows wouldn't make me smile. It's just so bright and cheerful when you walk by that you can't help but to walk in to see what else they have. The background with the displays of the colorful daisies and the streamers really make the freedom black shirt and the paisley bottoms really pop as well. The clothing represents what  The Pod consumer would wear and the vases, glasses. and jewelry represent what would be placed in their home.

My Second Home

Akira. Oakbrook Center. Oakbrook, IL

This weekend I went home for a wedding, and I needed to pick up my check from the store I worked at this summer, Akira. Akira was really a second home to me. I worked there as much as possible and my co-workers became like a second family to me. When I walked by the window displays I just had to put it in the blog. For this window, the big theme is denim. Fall is season where the jeans and jean jackets come out to match with a cute shirt or a maxi dress. They also have cute brown and black booties on there to match with different types of washes of the jeans. Also, there is a BOGO 50% off jeans sign next to the windows right when you walk in, which is great marketing because the customers get to see the window and walk in to see that there's a promotion going on. I know it would make me happy to see something like that.

Goodbye to the Summer Wind

Apricot Lane in Uptown. Normal, IL

If anyone ever talks about Uptown, the words Apricot Lane always seem to come up. It's a store where no matter what you're doing, you always have to walk by to see their visual displays in the windows. The layout of the window is always visually pleasing to the eye, and the clothes are always super cute. The little things in the background really bring out the clothes in the window too. It brings it all together. The products symbolize fall is upon us, and the fall outfits are coming out. If I was to wear this clothing on the quad everyone would know these are from Apricot Lane. They have their own type of style, and everyone knows what it is. I think it is great for a store to have that especially right where college students come to go shopping all the time. Bravo!
